Cycle Shrimp®
Cycle Shrimp is a business-to-business supply chain program that credibly identifies environmentally preferable sources of farmed White Shrimp (Penaeus vannamei) in Thailand. The Cycle Shrimp program serves as a stepping-stone towards sustainable shrimp aquaculture. It is designed for North American market actors that are interested in an environmentally preferable source of farmed shrimp. Cycle Shrimp are imported and distributed in the United States and Canada by licensed importers and distributors.
Under the Cycle Shrimp program, participating shrimp farmers are part of a broader initiative of aquaculture improvement by Blueyou Consultancy and its local partners in Thailand which will implement the future standard of the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC). This program is the basis for more sustainable and socially responsible shrimp farming in SE Asia.
